Bromley Council is working in partnership with the Lawn Tennis Association to renovate tennis courts in parks across the borough.
Courts at the following sites are now open for booking:
Church House Gardens currently has temporary playing lines but is ready to book and use. All of the courts apart from Church House Gardens have now been colour coated in a vibrant blue and green colour scheme to further enhance how they look.
How to book
To book the courts, users will need to register with the Tennis For Free Bromley scheme.
There is an annual membership fee of £25 to use the courts, which covers use for the whole family for one year. There are no charges in addition to the £25 annual membership fee.
Following registration, users will be able to book courts online via Clubspark, where they will receive an access code to enter the courts. You will also be able to access courts at Kelsey Park, Croydon Recreation, Willet Way, and Kings Hall.
Proceeds from the bookings go towards the repair and maintenance of the courts to create a sustainable low-cost model that accommodates some free access at set times. Further details on the free sessions will be provided when all the courts have re-opened.
Over £200,000 in funding was received for this initiative from the LTA and the government as part of their joint investment to refurbish park tennis courts across the country.
