Apprenticeships are available across the whole of the council in various departments.
Why have an apprenticeship with Bromley?
Being seen as excellent in the eyes of local people remains our vision. We want to recruit and train talented people who are as passionate about delivering services to our local community as we are.
In return you will be joining an organisation that is committed to investing in you and offers a range of career and working experiences. We will fund the cost of you attaining a qualification that is relevant to the role and service area you will be working in and give you paid time off to study.
How much can you earn?
The minimum wage for apprentices at Bromley is currently £10.42 per hour, this is more than the national minimum wage for apprentices which is currently £5.28 per hour.
In addition to your salary and paid annual leave you will also be entitled to become a member of the Local Government Pension Scheme. (Your contribution to the pension scheme will be based on the salary band you are in).
Our Employee Benefits package is another way we are helping to make Bromley an employer of choice. With discounts at local and national outlets, savings on a wide range of health and leisure activities, travel, food, shopping and products. We hope you'll make the scheme work for you to make your money stretch further.
We also recognise and reward our excellent staff with our merited reward scheme each year and our Bromley Stars event.
Which personal qualities match Bromley Council’s values?
Flexibility, reliability, commitment and having a real interest in the role, coupled with a willingness to learn.
