Any Bromley residents that are experiencing violence or abuse would qualify to be considered for a referral into the Sanctuary Scheme.

Referrals will be made via the Housing Department to Safe Partnership who would assist the applicant and complete any works that are deemed necessary to secure the applicants home.

Sanctuary Scheme referral form

To refer a client to the Sanctuary Scheme you will need to send the completed referral form to: LBB.SanctuaryScheme@bromley.gov.uk

Completed referral forms will be forwarded the Safe Partnership who will make contact with the client to arrange a suitable appointment time.

Safe Partnership’s aim is to make the homes of victims and survivors of violence and abuse safe and secure so that they and their families can remain in their own homes, alleviating the disruption of relocating and allows them to retain the support of professional services, their family and the community when they are at their most vulnerable.

All staff employed by Safe Partnership and have enhanced DBS and are fully trained.

Safe Partnership operate a one stop policy which is better for our clients and more cost effective for stakeholders and the environment. By surveying and completing the measures at the same appointment Safe Partnership don’t leave the client concerned about the additional security that is needed and together with personal safety advice they aim to reassure them when they are often feeling traumatised.

There is a robust referral system to provide a quick and effective response for clients.

  • Nominated/authorised referrers would email a completed referral form to Safe Partnership.
  • Acknowledgement will be sent to the referrer, via secure email accounts if required.
  • The co-ordinator would contact the client on the day the referral is received
  • The co-ordinator would seek landlord permission
  • Safe Partnership will then make a convenient appointment, usually within 48 hours
  • If the client needs additional support this will be taken into consideration when making the appointment
  • The co-ordinator will advise the referrer once an appointment has been confirmed
  • The security installer would survey and risk assess the surroundings on arrival at the property and then they would carry out a comprehensive security assessment of the property and discuss with the client ongoing personal safety plans.
  • After the measure have been completed the security installer would demonstrate any new products
  • The co-ordinator would confirm the work has been completed and advise the referrer of any further issues that need addressing.
