S46 of the Public Health (Control of Disease) Act 1984 places a duty on local authorities to arrange the funeral for anyone who dies within the borough if there is nobody willing or able to arrange the funeral. The costs of arranging the funeral can be recouped from the person's estate. This information is being published to reduce the need for Freedom of Information requests to be made. The information will show burials and cremations by calendar year (1 January to 31 December) from 2013 to 2022.
