South Hill Wood BC is one of the most popular bowls clubs in the Borough of Bromley. The green is in an attractive public park midway between the middle of Beckenham and the middle of Bromley. Some members are excellent competitive bowlers. Many others belong to the club to enjoy gentle exercise and good company, as well to play bowls.
Founded in 1958 with the support of the former Beckenham Council, the club now has a well appointed new club house provided in 2008 by Bromley Council. Currently there are over a hundred members, roughly equal numbers of ladies and men.
