We are thoroughly committed to fulfilling our duty to provide inclusive services that meet the needs of our diverse community. To ensure this, services are reviewed using a process known as 'Equality Impact Assessment' (EIA).
The purpose of an EIA is to improve services by making sure that we do not discriminate against any sections of our community as far as possible, minimise any negative consequences and maximise opportunities for promoting equality.
The EIA process enables managers to:
- review their service provision
- measure the impact of their policies on service users.
If an EIA highlights any areas of unfairness or inequality, appropriate remedial action will be taken, followed up with an action plan setting out how progress and achievement will be monitored.
You can download the EIAs that have been completed.
