2009.12.04 Recall: JAMEX Ford Focus MK1 / Mk1.5 Coilover Kit

Product Recall Notice

Affected Products: JAMEX Ford Focus MK1 / Mk1.5 Coilover Kit Part #150201 (Blue Spring kits)

Affected Date Range: 14^th August 2009 – Present

We regret that on the 4^th December 2009, we received a complete product recall from the JAMEX manufacturer for the JAMEX Mk1 & Mk1 Facelift Ford Focus 1998 – 2004 Coilover kit part #150201

This is due to the front Coilover units being susceptible to sudden and catastrophic failure which is extremely dangerous. All customers who have purchased one of these kits since the 14^th August 2009 are requested to stop using their vehicle immediately and to have the front Coilover units removed so we can arrange free collection. At the time of writing we are sourcing a replacement part which will be available free of charge to all affected customers. Should affected customers prefer, a full refund is available on return of the complete kit (again collection arranged and paid for by ourselves). If you have purchased one of these kits from another retailer we recommend contacting them so that they can make the appropriate arrangements.

Please note that this only affects kits containing blue springs and not the older kits which contained red springs.

If in doubt, please do not hesitate in contacting us so we can be certain if you are affected or not.
