2011.10.19 Safety Notice: Mothercare Swinging Cribs and Gliding Cribs

The following notice has been issued by the retailer/manufacturer:

We are aware of an issue with bolts supplied with a number of Mothercare Swinging Cribs and Gliding Cribs.

The affected products were produced at various times between September 2010 and May 2011. Batch codes affected are dated between 01-09-10 and 31-05-11

Mothercare swinging cribs and gliding cribs (available in natural and white).

The batch code can be found on a label on the base of the crib.

We urge customers to take the following action:

1) check the batch date on the base of the crib

2) if the crib is among the affected batches, stop using the crib immediately and make alternative safe sleeping arrangements for your baby

3) contact Mothercare with your details and crib description (details on the label) to receive your replacement bolts.

Mothercare will supply replacement bolts and instructions free of charge. If your crib is affected, please visit www.mothercare.com to complete a simple form to order your replacement bolts, or contact Mothercare Helpline on 0844 875 5122 – lines open from Monday to Saturday 8am – 8pm, Sunday and Bank Holidays 9am – 5pm.

Guidance on safe sleeping can be found on our website or please speak to a customer service adviser in store who will be happy to provide advice.

This action has been taken to ensure the safety and well-being of our customers and we apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
