IMPORTANT PRODUCT SAFETY NOTICE
PRESTIGE SMARTPLUS STAINLESS STEEL PRESSURE COOKER – Model 57050
Meyer Group Limited has decided to recall the lids of certain of the above Prestige pressure cooker model, which has been on sale since 2004.
Meyer have identified that in the event of a blockage in the pressure regulator the rubber gasket may not release excess pressure as intended. In a small number of cases this may present a risk of pressurised steam/food particles being released forcibly from the rim of the lid, or movement of the pressure cooker, giving rise to a danger of burning or scalding.
You can identify whether your cooker is affected by looking at the markings on the base, as shown on the diagram below. Affected cookers are marked with the Prestige brand, model number 57050, and date marks between 0401 (January 2004) and 1202 (February 2012).
No other Prestige pressure cookers or model numbers are affected.
Users of the affected pressure cookers are asked to stop using their pressure cooker immediately and contact the free Prestige helpline number below for further instructions:
