VOLUNTARY RECALL NOTICE - WILD COUNTRY VIA FERRATA SET
For the safety of all of our customers we are issuing an immediate recall of the Wild Country Via Ferrata set. If you own a Wild Country Via Ferrata set please read this notice carefully and follow the instructions "How to Return the Product".
Reason for the recall:
Following a fatal accident involving a rented Via Ferrata set of similar but lighter construction than the Wild Country Via Ferrata set, an extensive test program has shown that with intensive use under certain conditions the elasticated lanyard may no longer reach breaking strength considered acceptable.
Our first priority is the safety of our mountaineering colleagues and customers and therefore we have taken the decision to recall the set with immediate effect.
This means any set you own should not be used any further and returned immediately to Wild Country its distributors or the shop you purchased from.
We would like to apologise for any inconvenience this may cause
How to identify the product:
The set is easily identified and has one red and one black lanyard (arm). See the picture below:
How to return the product:
Please return the Wild Country Via Ferrata Set either:
A. Directly to Wild Country Headquarters in the UK at the address below.
B. To the retailer where you purchased the Wild Country Via Ferrata Set.
C. To the national distributor of Wild Country for your country.

Your Contact Information - It is essential that you write your address, your e-mail and telephone number and securely attach to any unit shipped to Wild Country.
Postage Costs - As a compensation for shipping cost, you will receive a Wild Country quickdraw.
What will happen with my returned product?
We will deal with your product as quickly and efficiently as possible. We will return your Via Ferrata Set with replaced lanyards as soon as the legally required testing has been performed at the relevant Certified Laboratory.
