PRODUCT RECALL
Halfords 10 litre Black and Green plastic fuel cans. Halfords item codes: 342646 (Black) and 342654 (Green)
Halfords has identified a potential safety concern with the above product. We have identified a risk of some inconsistencies in the thickness of plastic on the side wall of some of the Halfords 10 litre Black and Green plastic fuel cans. These inconsistencies could cause a crack to form in the plastic, leading to fuel potentially leaking out.
As a precautionary measure and to ensure customer safety, we are recalling some of these products from our customers. No other Fuel cans are affected; these products have been on sale since March 2020.
If you have purchased one of these products, please stop using it immediately. We then kindly ask that you do not bring the product back to store, instead please contact our customer support team on 03301359779 or email us at customer.services@halfords.co.uk
Our customer support team will provide you with simple instructions of how to check if your product is one of the affected products. If your product is identified as affected by this recall they will arrange for a new product to be sent out to you, they will also ask you to dispose of the old one safely.
If you know someone else who has purchased one of these products, or you have purchased one for someone else please ask them to follow the actions advised above.
