Product description
Hinged case, 25 x 17 x 9 cm, containing teddy bear, teething ring with rattle, rattle with bells, 60 cm fabric square, 6 cm wooden ring with ribbons, art cards and a soft-filled book
Hazard
The product presents a risk of choking as small parts (the bells on the rattle) can be easily detached when the product is used. A young child may place the small part in their mouth and the parents / carers may not notice in time, with the small part able to block a child's airways.
The black and white ribbon on the wooden ring was also measured at 500 mm, greater than the maximum permissible of 300 mm, thereby presenting a strangulation hazard. The product also requires improvements to labelling and documentation.
The product does not meet the requirements of the Toys (Safety) Regulations 2011.
Corrective action
The product has been recalled from end users. The listing has been removed by the online marketplace (Etsy).
