Hazard
The product presents a serious risk of electric shock as it possesses poor internal build quality and breakdown occurred before the test voltage was applied, meaning the product has poor electrical strength. The product is adequately earthed and the insulation on the wiring can break down over time, exposing live wires which are accessible to users. The product also requires improvements to labelling and documentation.
The product does not meet the requirements of the Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations 2008.
Corrective action
The import has been rejected at the border.
