Small plastic bottle containing yellow liquid, supplied in cardboard box marked TiaTio, Concentrated Serum, Shea Butter Extracts, Anti-Spot, Fast Action, Swiss Formula, Nouvelle Parfumerie, Gandour, e 50 ml - 1.7 fl. Oz.
Product identifiers
1.7 fl.oz., 36M. An ingredient list was also present. The container was marked, TiaTio, Concentrated Serum, Shea Butter Extracts, Anti-Taches, Action Rapide, Swiss Formula, Nouvelle Parfumerie, Gandour, e 50 ml, 1.7 fl.oz., F:12/23 E:12/26 A2-100607.
Hazard
The product presents a serious chemical risk as following analysis the cream was found to contain 257 mg/kg (0.26%) clobetasol propionate. Glucocorticoids (Corticosteroids), including clobetasol propionate, are prohibited in cosmetic products as exposure to it could cause skin irritation and may damage the endocrine system.
Improvements are also required to marking and labelling.
The product does not meet the requirements of Regulation 1223/2009.
Corrective action
The import has been rejected at the border and destroyed.
