Hazard
The product presents a high risk of electric shock because the insulation of the supply cord fitted was not suitable for the stated outdoor use. The insulation could therefore wear over prolonged exposure and possibly cause live parts to be accessible.
The product was also missing the adequate instructions and safety information meaning there is a high chance the product will not be installed properly or safely. As well as this, the product was missing the required certification and trade markings.
The product does not meet the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016.
Corrective action
The import has been rejected at the border and destroyed.
