Hazard
The product presents a high risk of fire as the conductors within the product are poorly soldered onto their respective terminals. Under fault conditions, this could lead the creepage and clearance distances to reduce and cause the product to overheat and ignite.
Additionally, the plug supplied with the charger does not meet the requirements of the relevant standard as the pin is too close to the edge of the plug. As a result, users may access live pins when plugging in, or unplugging, the plug from the socket, which exposes the user to an electric shock hazard.
The product does not meet the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016 or the Plugs & Sockets (Safety) Regulations 1994.
Corrective action
The import has been rejected at the border.
