Hazard
The product presents a high risk of fire. There have been reported incidents of smoke development in the hub of the rear hub motor. In some cases, the motors led to ignition and a smouldering fire.
The product does not meet the requirements of the Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations 2008.
Corrective action
Owners should stop using this product immediately, and ensure it is unplugged from power sources.
The manufacturer of the product, Internetstores GmbH, has entered into insolvency and has written directly to all end users in the UK with further information. Further information can be requested by contacting service@netstores.eu.
