Bromley Trading Standards is advising residents to be careful when downloading apps and make sure you are using a legitimate site.
For Android phones use Google Play or for an iPhone visit the App Store. This applies to all applications, including the RingGo parking app used to pay for parking in Bromley.
Check the permissions that an app requests and, if they are more than deemed necessary, make sure you have the legitimate app. Once downloaded, allow updates to occur in order to strengthen security.
