Residents are being asked to share their thoughts in the council’s annual recycling and waste collections satisfaction survey from 27 September to 24 October 2023.

The survey provides Bromley Council and its service partner Veolia with valuable insights into ongoing waste collections provided to all areas of the borough, and the service received at the Reuse and Recycling Centres. This information lets the council and Veolia know where services could be improved to accommodate the needs of the borough.

Councillor Aisha Cuthbert, Executive Councillor for Environment says, “It is really important to maintain the level of service we provide to our residents when it comes to recycling and waste collections and at our Reuse and Recycle Centres. We value the feedback we receive and will always take appropriate action to improve our service where we can.”

Bromley is still London’s top recycling borough, with figures showing that the borough has improved its recycling performance, from 44.8 per cent of waste being recycled in 2020/21 to 48.7 per cent in 2021/22, with the remainder of the borough’s waste largely being sent to an Energy Recovery Facility meaning that virtually nothing is sent to landfill. The council and Veolia continually looks to improve the service they provide to their residents, with feedback from this survey helping to broaden their understanding of the recycling requirements in the borough.

The recycling and waste collections satisfaction survey is open from 27 September to 24 October 2023.

Residents can complete the survey by visiting the Recycling and Waste collections homepage.

Bromley Council is also keen to hear residents’ feedback about the Street Cleansing going on in the borough, including information about the cleanliness of roads, pavements, paths, and town centres. This also gives valuable insights into where services can be improved to accommodate the needs of the borough.

Residents can head to the street cleansing residents’ satisfaction survey page to take part.
