Residents are being asked to share their thoughts in the council’s annual street cleansing satisfaction survey from 27 September to 24 October 2023.
The survey provides Bromley Council and its service partner Veolia with valuable insights into the ongoing cleanliness of the borough’s streets and town centres. This information lets the council and Veolia know where services could be improved to accommodate the needs of the borough.
Councillor Aisha Cuthbert, Executive Councillor for Environment says, "It is important to know the word on the street and get our residents feedback about how well our roads, pavements, paths, and town centres are cleaned. We work closely with Veolia to keep our streets as clean as possible and will always look to improve our service whenever we can."
The street sweeping frequency for roads within the borough is at least every fortnight for pavements while roads are swept at least once a month. Streets are swept either by mechanical sweeping vehicles, manual sweeping or a combination of the two operations. Bromley Council and Veolia always attempt to minimise disruption where possible, with street cleaning co-ordinated to avoid peak traffic flow and waste and recycling collections.
The survey is open from 27 September to 24 October 2023.
Residents can complete the survey by visiting the Street Cleansing homepage.
Bromley Council is also keen to hear residents’ feedback on the Recycling and Waste Collections in the borough. This includes information on the quality of service received on collection days and the details on the experience at the Reuse and Recycle Centres in Bromley.
Residents can head to the recycling and waste collections residents satisfaction survey page to take part.
