Council representatives will join residents across the borough for services this Sunday, as the nation comes together for Remembrance.

The Mayor of Bromley, Councillor David Jefferys, will lay a wreath in Bromley Town Centre, following a service at Bromley Parish Church.

“It is so important that we take the time out of our busy lives, to reflect on the sacrifices of those who have served in our armed forces. I know we have many veterans within our borough, additionally many more residents have loved ones who have served, including those who have tragically lost their lives. While we should also be providing support to the Armed Forces Community, Remembrance is so important, where we can collectively commemorate and show our thanks and appreciation, as a borough and as a nation. We will remember them”, said the Mayor of Bromley.

Bromley has more veterans than any other London Borough and the council signed the Armed Forces Covenant in 2023 to renew its commitment to supporting the armed forces community, with further organisations and businesses across the borough also encouraged to make this pledge. Further information about the armed forces community in Bromley, including support that is available, is found at www.bromley.gov.uk/ArmedForces.
