The council commissioned a study by GL Hearn to explore the potential for stimulating the economy in the borough with the aim of creating employment and economic growth, and increasing business rates through commercial development.
The findings of the 2013 study help to inform the preparation of the Local Plan, in particular, the strategic options in relation to the local economy, the business base, town centres and employment. Economic growth is important to achieving the long term overall vision of Building a Better Bromley and the emerging Local Plan.
