New Nature Friendly Verge trial
Following on from the success of our first Nature Friendly Verge trial the council is looking to expand the scheme to the following sites as part of an additional trial:
- Broadoaks Way (Shortlands and Park Langley)
- Cameron Road (Bromley Town)
- Crofton Road (Farnborough and Crofton)
- Foxgrove Road (Beckenham Town and Copers Cope)
- Gates Green Road (Hayes and Coney Hall)
- Willow Walk (Farnborough and Crofton)
As per the previous trial, it will last for a period of two years before the council reviews its impact to enable the relevant wildflowers to establish.
The verges will receive one cut a year along with regular framing and maintenance of sight lines.
Get involved
As before we are keen to hear from those who live, work or study in the borough, and from those who visit to find out what you think of the new nature friendly verges.
We encourage all residents to fill out a short, online survey to tell us what you think.
