We are sometimes asked to collect a dead cat from a public place, or our contractor comes across one during routine street cleaning.
If the cat is microchipped we will make every effort to contact the owner, but as an owner may spend months or even years looking for their missing pet, we now publish details of dead cats that we have collected that are not microchipped.
If your cat has gone missing and you believe it may be one of the cats listed, please complete our missing cat form stating the appropriate LBB cat identity number.
This is not a cat lost and found service, therefore we will only be able to check details you give us against a specific cat identity number.
We do not have the resources to keep unidentified dead animals indefinitely.
Deceased cats are sent for cremation around three weeks after they are found, and ashes are not available for collection.
