Household Support Fund Scheme

Applications for Household Support funding (funded by UK Government) are now being welcomed, with funds available whilst they last or up until 31 March 2025.

If you have previously benefitted from earlier rounds of the Household Support Fund you can apply in this round provided you meet the eligibility criteria for this particular round of the scheme.

What support is available?

Funding is aimed at anyone who is struggling to meet energy costs or pay for essential items.

You do not need to be receiving benefits to make an application. If you receive benefits, they will not be affected if you are awarded support from the Household Support Fund scheme.

Please note that this is a one-off award, with one award per household per round of funding. You can also find out what Government support is available to help with the cost of living.

Applications for awards

Money has been set aside to make awards in the form of a Pure Energy Card, a virtual energy card which can be used to pay for energy or a supermarket gift card to the value of £350. Households can apply for this support providing they meet the eligibility criteria outlined.

Direct awards

Money has also been set aside for direct awards. If you are eligible for any of the listed direct awards, you will not need to make an application on our website as you will be contacted by the relevant Bromley Council team or your child’s school. Direct awards include:

  • Families in receipt of free school meals that are eligible for school holiday food vouchers
