Special care dentistry is for patients who may have a social, psychological, or physical disability and who could need dental care to be adapted for them, which they may find difficult to access through their mainstream dentist.
The team comprises of General Dental Council (GDC) registered dental health professionals who have appropriate skills, knowledge, and empathy to deliver the best dentistry and to improve the oral health of our special care and paediatric patients.
Treatment or advice is offered to patients referred by their own dentist, GP, or other healthcare professional. The special care dental service also offer screening in special need schools and care homes, oral health promotion and specialist treatment for gum conditions. - Telephone
