Bromley Information, Advice and Support Service (IASS) - Birth to 5 years old - Disability Living Allowance
Disability Living Allowance (DLA) can help with the extra costs of bringing up your child if they are disabled or have a health condition.
It isn’t just for children who are physically disabled. It can be given to children for a wide range of different needs, including behavioural and mental health conditions as well as learning disabilities and developmental delay.
DLA isn’t means tested. This means it doesn’t matter how much you earn or how much money you have in savings. Any other benefits you might already be getting will not be affected.
