Social care support
We aim to make sure that children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) receive social care services that match their level of need and that they and their families or carers are fully involved in helping us to plan for them.
Children and young people who receive support from Children’s Social Care, including the 0-25 Service, will start to work with their social worker from Year 9 to help plan for the future.
Children and young people under 18 and who are not already known to the service, may be eligible for support from the children’s social care team, 0-25 Service. Find out about getting an assessment of needs through the Children's disability team.
For young people and adults over 18 and who are not already receiving support, they may be eligible for an assessment of needs by the adult social care team.
