Scheduled highway maintenance
We have a regular maintenance programme for all roads and pavements in the borough. Typically, we renew 30 miles of roads and pavements a year.
We carry out technical surveys of the roads and pavements to assess which are in most need of repair, and then develop our programme of work. We ensure residents and businesses directly affected by our work receive written notification in advance, and we also ask for their views once the work is complete.
We provide a programme of planned works, this does not include work carried out by utility companies or by Transport for London (TFL).
If you have a query or question about road works in the borough please help us to identify the work more efficiently by taking a photograph and note of the location of the works and or details of the permit board and note of the permit number.
