The duration of your stay in Temporary Accommodation depends on your priority banding. It can take approximately five years or more to be housed via the Housing Register, as social housing is in limited supply. The quickest way out of temporary accommodation is to secure a private rented sector property.

Relocation within Temporary Accommodation is only considered if the accommodation is unsuitable due to significant issues such as health and safety hazards or the requirement to vacate the property.

If you encounter any disrepair issues in your accommodation, your first point of contact should be the accommodation provider. If the provider is unresponsive, you can escalate the matter to Housing Management by emailing housing.management@bromley.gov.uk. We will assess the situation and determine next steps.

When leaving Temporary Accommodation, you are responsible for returning the keys as per the provider's instructions. Failure to do so may result in continued rent liability. Always confirm the return process with the provider, which may include dropping keys at an office or using a key safe box.
