Single yellow line and Double yellow line waiting restrictions are enforceable on bank and public holidays.  

Double yellow lines are restricted at any time, including Sundays, so they do not need yellow signs.  

Single yellow lines are usually restricted between specified hours from Monday to Saturday, although many are restricted during specified hours from Monday to Friday.   

Yellow signs confirming the restricted period may be in place near the single yellow line. In Controlled Parking Zones (CPZ), however, any single yellow line where the restricted period is consistent with those of the Controlled Parking Zone does not need to be accompanied by a yellow sign.   

The large signs at the entrance to the CPZ confirm the restriction times that apply within the zone and a yellow sign will only be present if a restriction is in a place that is different to the rest of the zone.
